Dan believes in a holistic approach to health where all parts of our lives are interconnected. These include the social, emotional, physical, and mental components. But moreover, we cannot forget the recreational, financial, spiritual, and familial. He believes everyone’s story is unique and deserves the utmost respect, attention, and creativity to find the best path to healing, growth, and lasting change.
Dan’s counselling approach utilizes a variety of methods inspired by strengths-based, intersectionality, and cognitive-behavioural frameworks. Dan will work diligently to show you what you are already doing, while also helping you unlock the way forward.
Dan is committed to continuous growth and development to serve his clients and their families.  Dan acknowledges that clients will go at their own pace to find the right solutions. Please know you are not alone in whatever you are facing.

Dan’s professional journey in social service work spans 13 years in diverse communities with adults, order adults, children and youth, Indigenous Peoples, newcomers to Canada, athletes, international students, and individuals involved in the justice system. Dan has been privileged to facilitate psycho-educational groups for the past six years in the domains of intimate partner relationships, self-identity, healthy communication, and emotions management. These stories and experiences have expanded Dan’s understanding and approaches to the numerous challenges affecting clients today.

Dan is devoted to continuous growth and development to better serve my clients and their families. Dan holds a Community Mental Health Certificate from Camosun College, a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria, and is currently completing a Master of Education at Thompson Rivers University. As a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW registration #14354) and a member of both the Alliance of Social Workers in Sports (ASWIS) and British Columbia Association of Social Workers (BCASW), Dan is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in his practice.
